Youth Forum: Independent University Bangladesh
On February 2, 2017 a Bangladesh Priorities Youth Forum was held at Independent University Bangladesh. Twenty five students from different departments of Independent University Bangladesh participated in the forum. Obaydullah-al Marjuk, Lecturer, School of Liberal Arts & Social Science, IUB attended as a special.
After a lively debate and fruitful discussion regarding the ranking of top priorities for Bangladesh, 5 students ranked “mangrove protection of Sundarban” as their top priority. The students ranked the intervention on top because mangrove forest is essential to the ecosystem in Bangladesh. One student commented that
sundarban play a vital role to protect us from natural disasters.”
Together, the students ranked the following interventions as their top 5 priorities for Bangladesh.
