Youth Forum: Noakhali Science and Technology University
On November 8 2016, a Bangladesh Priorities Youth Forum was held at Noakhali Science and Technology University to enable university students to present their views on the development priorities for Bangladesh. Thirty nine students from different departments of Noakhali Science and Technology University actively participated in the Youth Forum.
After a lively debate and rich discussion where students put forwarded their comments, rankings and recommendations about development priorities for Bangladesh. The students ranked “E-procurement across government” as number one priority by focusing the corruption happening in the government procurement sector. To quote one participant
Govt. Officials and others loot money mostly through this sector. If corruption can be minimized through E-procurement, then it should be done immediately.”
Together, the students ranked the following interventions as their top 5 priorities for Bangladesh.
