The Journey so far

The Ghana Priorities project was conceived to answer a fundamental but overlooked question in Ghana’s development:  With limited budgets and attention spans, what are the solutions that will do the most good for the most people in Ghana?

The following timetable gives a historical overview of our work to answer this question.

Early 2019

Academics helped map out 400+ policies relevant to Ghana aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals.

May 2019

A reference Group selected 80+ research priorities which were validated by Ministries’ policy directors.

June 2019 Onwards

28 teams of economists conduct cost-benefit research on 87 different interventions.

October 2019

Very preliminary findings and economic models were presented to 100+ stakeholders across all relevant ministries for early validation and feedback
