An African Focus on Education Findings

Published by

After the recent launch of our series on education targets in the Post-2015 agenda, African media have begun giving attention to the findings. The Daily Graphic a large news outlet in Ghana has been the first to publish a recent op-ed written by  Bjorn Lomborg. In this article Bjorn discusses why funding pre-school in Sub-Saharan Africa will have long-lasting benefits.

“If the world’s poorest are to be helped the most, tough choices have to be made between competing goals. In an ideal world, universal, high quality secondary education would be an excellent goal, but first the urgent problem of basic level education in the world’s most deprived regions has to be addressed. This way, we have the best hope of doing the most good with limited resources over the next 15 years”
